The words you speak become the house that you live in.

I'm a qualified Mindfulness teacher and together we can investigate a range of ways to get you practising mindfulness meditation or integrating it into your daily life. Mindfulness is a centuries' old practice which involves learning to pay attention to the present moment. In much of our everyday lives we are functioning on autopilot, wrapped up in our thoughts, unaware of what's really happening. That's not to say that thinking is bad, but if we are finding life difficult, then paying attention to the content of our thoughts, and paying attention to the present moment can bring us relief, understanding, clarity and improved sense of wellbeing.
You may be surprised to learn that Mindfulness is a completely portable tool. You don't have to be sitting on a meditation cushion, or lying on a yoga mat to benefit, although those are also enjoyable ways to practise. And it is a secular practice, so it's suitable for anyone - no robes or incense required! There are many ways to bring Mindfulness to your everyday life and it is easy to fit into a busy schedule.
I often use Mindfulness-based techniques as part of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I now the Mindfulness Now 8 week programme, which is a great blend of mindfulness and basic CBT which can benefit many people. Although mindfulness is beneficial for many people with stress or anxiety, and also for reducing the recurrence of depressed moods, I like to think of it as a preventative measure, which helps you to manage mood before you begin to get overwhelmed.
